The 80s were a defining decade for adidas. Classic running silhouettes could be seen all over the street and another iconic silhouette celebrated its debut: The adidas Continental 80. First released in 1986, it has been rather quiet around the shoe in the past 30 years – until the summer of 2018 as the Continental 80 celebrated his comeback. When it comes to design and workmanship, the new Continental 80 makes no compromises and is virtually indistinguishable from its predecessor. High quality leather meets a sturdy rubber cup sole with EVA padding. Distinctive details, such as the perforated Toebox, the small logo window underneath the lacing strip and the characteristic two-tone side trim have also been retained on the adidas Continental 80. Due to its minimalist full leather upper and the numerous different colors, the shoe is a perfect companion in everyday life and can be combined well with any outfit. With the Continental 80 they have once again managed to transfer one of their classics into the here & now in Herzogenaurach and prove that a look into the archive is always worthwhile.
