“Just do it”: Hardly any other brand lives like the sporting goods manufacturer founded in 1971 in Beaverton. The athletics coach Bill Bowerman made it in the 60s, the task for his students to develop the perfect fit running shoe. Together with the student Phil Knight found out, the company Nike, which celebrated its breakthrough at the 1972 Olympic Games.
